Day 1
TRUJILLO OF HISTORY

La Huaca del Sol
From very early we left the south of Trujillo towards the Huacas Sol y Luna, main temples of the Moche in the North of Peru and who ruled this area of Trujillo and its valleys for around 800 years. We enter the Huaca de la Luna to enjoy the best in reliefs and original friezes made of clay that keep their colors intact. Get to know the Huaca del Sol, which astonishes for its size and construction based on millions of mud bricks. And discover each treasure from the excavations in the Huacas Sol y Luna Archaeological Complex exhibited in the Site Museum. Heading north of Trujillo, now is the time to learn about the evolution of the Moche culture that gave way to the Chimu Culture with its great city of chan chan and its surrounding Huacas. We will enjoy 1 hour of walking and photos throughout our tour.

On the way to the Chicama Valley, the sugar valley with the highest sugar production in northern Peru, The most important finding of the lady of cao is located in this valley, a female ruler in Moche times and who today becomes a female symbol of government and leadership in ancient Peru. His body was found with gold and silver jewels that show his rank and social status in the Mochica culture; but the most striking and dazzling thing is his completely preserved body and that his tattoos of snakes and spiders still wear. We go to the Sican Museum, a modern museum where all the jewels and bodies of characters of great importance in Sican society are exhibited. His jewels dazzle for their weight, design and work, each jewel was elaborated with the smallest detail and that served as emblems of rank in times of the Sican culture. Now we are going to know the valley of the Pyramids of Tucume formed by 26 clay pyramids, these pyramids are considered the largest in South America and we will have the opportunity to walk around them and access the Cerro El Purgatorio viewpoint, to have a view of the whole valley. Lunch and then the most expected the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum, considered among the 10 best museums in the world, in this enclosure all the jewels (nose rings, earmuffs, pectorals, necklaces and bracelets) are preserved, as well as ceramics and the body of the Lord of Sipan and their ancestors.
