Pickups are between 5:25 and 5:45am from Noosa. Your pickup time will be confirmed after booking. You will be picked up in a white or dark grey minibus with Discovery K'gari branding. Please arrive at the pickup location 10 minutes prior to your pickup time.
Travel along K’gari’s famous “Beach Highway” aboard a purpose-built 4WD vehicle designed for comfort and adventure. Cruise past sweeping ocean views, coloured sands, and rugged coastal scenery while your guide shares stories about the world’s largest sand island. Keep an eye out for native wildlife, including dingoes and seabirds, as you journey along this iconic stretch of coastline.
Stop at the crystal-clear waters of Eli Creek, the largest freshwater creek flowing on K’gari’s eastern beach. Wade through the cool flowing water or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings of this island favourite.
Visit the famous SS Maheno shipwreck, one of K’gari’s most photographed landmarks. Learn about the ship’s fascinating history while taking in the dramatic scenery of the rusting wreck resting on the sands of 75 Mile Beach.
On to the beautiful freshwater Lake McKenzie where you can spend an hour relaxing, swimming and enjoying the scenery before tucking into an authentic Aussie lunch nearby to the lake as a group.
Explore the historic Central Station, once the heart of K’gari’s logging industry, and discover the island’s rich rainforest environment. Stroll alongside the tranquil waters of Wanggoolba Creek beneath towering satinay and brush box trees while learning about the island’s unique ecosystem and history. *Please note Central Station and Wanggoolba Creek visits are tide dependent.
