Take a look at one of the most discussed Soviet monuments in Riga. Listen to some stories about its history and what is happening around it nowadays. If visiting at the start of summer, you might be lucky enough to witness beautiful sakura trees blossoming w- they were given to Latvia as a present from Japan.
Drive through the unofficial centre of this side of river Daugava (opposite the Old Town) where you'll see a different architecture - a mixture of old wooden houses, concrete buildings, new glass office houses - all in one place!
