Besides seeing the dogs enjoying their work and going on a fun carriage ride through the beautiful Icelandic landscape, you will end your visit by coming into our home and spending some quality time with the dogs. There you will get to see how the dogs live with us, learn about the history of the husky and how we came into this lifestyle, while we give the dogs a well-deserved scratch and hug.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We are located about 7 minutes drive, north of Akureyri Take the north road out of Akureyri and turn right on road 816, follow it for 2 km then turn right again at the yellow postboxes. When you see the dogs, you know your here.
What to expect
First you will meet the dogs and get to know them a little bit, then we dress the dogs in the harnesses and in front of the cart and head off on an adventure. We will go through the countryside, up into the forest, see the sea and the mountains in the fjord. This is a wonderful experience with the dogs and Icelandic nature.
After the cartride is over, you are welcome into our home, where our dogs live with us. Huskies are among the friendliest breeds of dogs and love to cuddle. These warm animals love to meet new people and will, of course, expect a belly rub and some attention. The huskies are all just as cute as you'd imagine, and each has its distinct personality.
