The start of this Athens full-day private tour to Delphi will be just as scenic as that taken by Zeus’ two eagles but of course more direct as we pick you up from your accommodation in Athens and begin our journey up into the mountains.
It is a two-hour drive to Delphi, ‘the navel of the world’. In Classical times, people would travel here from all over Greece to visit the oracle of the sun God, Apollo. Your private tour will include the time to explore this temple complex, the holiest place in ancient Greece.
After seeing Delphi first-hand, you will have the opportunity to explore the lives of the people that visited it thousands of years ago. Situated next to the ancient temple, the Delphi Archaeological Museum
