What to expect

Set off to a peaceful island adventure starting at Forodhani Garden, making your way to Prison Island (Changuu Island). Explore the historic ruins of the old slave prison and meet the famous Aldabra giant tortoises, once owned by Sultan Said Majid. Afterward, unwind on the beach before setting sail aboard traditional Swahili dhows to Nakupenda Island (Sandbank). Along the way, enjoy ginger-spiced tea, refreshing juices, homemade bread, and tropical fruits. Relax on this secluded sandbank, which disappears under high tide twice daily, and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Indulge in local fruits, snacks, and beverages, followed by a buffet of delicious Swahili cuisine and soft drinks.

Next, take a historical walk through Stone Town, including the Old Market, which opened in 1903 and features distinct sections for fish, meat, vegetables, and fruits, along with a lively spice market outside. Visit the House of Wonders (National Museum), Tippu Tip House, and the former English Club (Africa House). Discover the Old Fort, Palace Museum, Old Dispensary, the former Slave Market, and other fascinating sites that showcase Zanzibar’s rich history and culture.
