    The Egyptian Museum in Cairo

The Egyptian Museum is the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East and holds the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts. Its extensive exhibits span a wide range of historical periods, from the Predynastic Era through to the Greco-Roman period. The museum’s design was selected through the first international architectural competition of its kind, held in 1895, and won by French architect Marcel Dourgnon. It officially opened its doors in 1902, with an inauguration led by Khedive Abbas Helmy II. Since then, the museum has become a historic landmark in downtown Cairo, showcasing some of the most extraordinary treasures of ancient Egypt.

    Pyramids of Giza

The Giza pyramid complex, also called the Giza necropolis, is located on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt. It includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, their associated complexes, and the Great Sphinx of Giza. These iconic structures were built during the Fourth Dynasty of Egypt's Old Kingdom, between approximately 2600 and 2500 BC. The site also features multiple cemeteries and the remnants of a workers' village. Positioned on the edge of the Western Desert, the complex lies about 9 kilometers west of the Nile River in Giza and around 13 kilometers southwest of central Cairo. Together with the nearby ancient city of Memphis, the area was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

    The Sphinx of Memphis

The Great Sphinx of Giza is the most renowned of its kind. Carved directly from the bedrock during the 4th Dynasty (circa 2613–2494 BC), it is also the oldest known sphinx. In ancient Egyptian tradition, sphinxes symbolized royal authority, depicting the pharaoh with the body of a lion to emphasize his strength and power.
