    Trip to Bwindi NP

    Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

    After breakfast at around 7:30 am, you will start the journey towards Bwindi National Park. Stop at the equator for a photo opportunity. You will have the chance to be in the southern and northern hemispheres at the same time. You will have lunch in Mbarara. After lunch, you will drive to Bwindi National Park, the home of the mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of the forested parks in Uganda. It is best known for its gorillas, but also features elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys and various small antelopes as well as 23 species of birds. The journey takes you from the savannah over cultivated hills to the jungle-covered mountains of Bwindi, where you will experience the great climax of this Uganda safari the next day. You will arrive in the late afternoon.

    Gorilla Tracking

    Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

    After breakfast, you will take part in gorilla tracking. Your tour will be a very special, exciting journey - along the forested slopes, through tangled vines, past bushes and bamboo plants, before you finally see the gorillas. On the tour, your ranger will show you traces of previous activities of the gorillas, such as droppings, nests and nibbled bamboo shoots. You will learn a lot of interesting facts about the Ugandan giants and if things get slippery, a ranger will be happy to lend you his hand. It is an emotional, moving and very impressive experience to come face to face with a gorilla.

    Return to Entebbe

    After breakfast, head back to Entebbe. Enjoy the greenery along the route and the famous Ankole longhorn cattle. Stop at the equator to take a picture. You have the chance to be in the southern and northern hemispheres at the same time. Buy some souvenirs or enjoy a snack in one of the restaurants.
