Diaolou in Chinese, were listed on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2007. First built in the early Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), these multi-storied houses were built as small fortresses and watch towers for protection.
After lunch, head to the Liyuan Garden. Built in 1926, this garden holds a combination of traditional Chinese landscaping as well as western architectural style.
Then, pay a visit to the Chi Kan Old Town. With its traditional architecture and beautiful views, the town is now a popular place for movie and television drama shoots.

Zili Village is the most popular site for its scenery and numbers of Diaolous. You can walk up some of the towers to view the quiet countryside.
