    Anping Tree House

The tree house was built around the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the Japanese occupation. After more than a hundred years of vicissitudes, the walls of the warehouse are covered with the aerial roots of banyan trees. The dense crowns of the towering banyan trees seem to have become the roof of the warehouse, giving the Anping Tree House a rare appearance and mysterious atmosphere. Nowadays, there are well-planned wooden boardwalks that allow people to travel between tree houses, or go up into the treetops. You can often see many squirrels and birds playing among the treetops, and the ecology is good. If you are tired from walking, you can take a break at the Tree House Café in the Tree House Park, have an ice cream to cool off, and continue to explore the beauty of Anping.

    Chihkan Tower (Fort Provintia)

The Chihkan Tower gradually fell into disrepair due to civil unrest and neglected management, and the original Dutch-style building was added with Chinese-style buildings. At one time, gods such as Guanyin Bodhisattva were also enshrined there. During the Japanese occupation, Chihkan Tower was converted into an army garrison hospital and was gradually renovated and rebuilt. After World War II, the wooden structure was converted into a reinforced concrete structure and the main entrance was redirected, resulting in the present-day Chihkan Tower.

    Hayashi Department Store

When Hayashi Department Store was completed, it was the tallest building in Tainan. It was equipped with elevators, rolling doors and other modern facilities that were rare at the time. It was a symbol of the prosperity of Tainan's Suehirocho during the Japanese colonial period.[1] It closed down after World War II and was converted to other uses and left idle for a long time. It was later announced as a historic site in Tainan City. After the overall restoration of the building, the Tainan City Government's Cultural Affairs Bureau outsourced Gaoqing Fashion to operate it as a "cultural and creative department store" and it reopened on June 14, 2014.
