The morning brings a three-hour river safari along the Chobe River, where elephants come down to drink and cross, hippos and crocodiles laze in the shallows, and the banks teem with birdlife. After a relaxed buffet lunch, you'll head out on a three-hour game drive through the park in search of Chobe's famous herds — the park holds one of the largest elephant populations on the continent — along with buffalo, giraffe, zebra, antelope, and, with a little luck, predators like lion.
