This experience connects Krakow’s former Jewish Ghetto with Auschwitz-Birkenau in one carefully structured, full-day journey.
Begin in Podgórze with a 1.5-hour guided walk through the former Jewish Ghetto, where your guide provides historical context to the streets, walls, and key sites. Visit Eagle’s Pharmacy, known for its role during the occupation, and stop at Ghetto Heroes Square, a place of remembrance.
After this introduction, travel by bus to Auschwitz, approximately 1.5 hours from Krakow. With a licensed guide, visit Auschwitz I, including the preserved barracks and exhibitions, before continuing to Auschwitz II-Birkenau. Here, the scale of the site becomes clear as you walk along the railway tracks and through the remains of the camp.
By linking these locations in a single itinerary, the experience offers a more complete understanding of this period of history before returning to Krakow.
