Coast to Wilderness is a short, single-night, two-day tour that takes you from your hotel in Bentota, to the untouched wilderness of Udawalawe National Park. Experience two half-day safaris, one during the day, and one in the evening. Udawalawe National Park is known for its many herds of wild elephants that congregate and gather in the masses to bask around the many cool springs and natural lakes the park consists of. Catch a glimpse of other animal species such as Water Buffalo, Wild boar, Spotted Deer, Sambur Deer, Jackal, Samber, Black-naped hare, mongooses, bandicoots, foxes, and the endemic Toque Macaque and Gray Langers.
Meet & start the journey 0800 hrs. near the Bentota bridge. After a wonderful boat ride along the Bentota tributary, you will reach to Galathara junction where the first excitement begins.
Next a small adventures activity, a two-hour hike to top of Pahurukanda mountain. On the top you can visit the Pahurukanda Temple. You can explore the surround for two hours. From the side edge of the mountain, there is an amazing view which Local villagers called as Mini Worlds End. After a Village Lunch arranged on top of the mountain, return to Galathara Junction.
Reach Uthumgama by a tuk-tuk for the overnight stay. Visit a Natural Pool & get a dip will give you an unforgettable experience. On a Special request we can arrange some toddy BBQ Dinner & Overnight stay in a Tree House.
After Special Village Breakfast, you will be taken to a paddy field. If you like, you can get on to the field get your hands little dirty & learn how the things happened on a paddy field. After the Paddy Field visit done, you will be taken to a traditional Forge. The blacksmith will give some knowledge about old black smiting techniques. Return to Bentota & Drop at Bentota.
