  National Museum Of Egyptian Civilization NEMC

  Start your tour in a comfortable air conditioned vehicle to visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, it displays several objects intend to take you on a journey through the ancient Egyptian civilization across various key historical phases. Starting with the predynastic and ancient Egyptian periods continue across the Graeco- Roman, Coptic, Islamic and contemporary modern time. NMEC is located in the heart of Al-Fustat, the ancient Islamic capital of Egypt and surrounded by many religious complexes. Now take a breath, you are ready to meet the pharaohs – those great Kings and Queens who ruled Egypt thousands of years ago. With the moving of 22 mummies, including 18 kings and four queens, from the Egyptian Museum, in an event termed the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade. The Royal Mummies’ Hall is designed to display the mummies of the ancient Kings and Queens of Egypt.

  There is always time to take a panoramic photo stop in Cairo and the river Nile before you visit the Citadel of Saladin and Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque built in Turkish style, very similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey. The Mosque was designed by the architect Youssef Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came especially from Istanbul and built this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the founder of modern Egypt, who ruled Egypt and his family after him from 1805 till 1952.
