  Snaefellsjokull National Park & Glacier

  Snæfellsjökull National Park, located on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in western Iceland, is renowned for its stunning landscapes and geological features. Established in 2001, the park is dominated by the Snæfellsjökull volcano, topped by a glacier and famously featured in Jules Verne's *Journey to the Center of the Earth*. The park includes rugged coastlines, lava fields, and diverse flora and fauna, offering hiking trails and breathtaking views.   Dritvik and Djupalonssandur

  See the black sand beach Djúpalónssandur with it's rich history. Once a popular area for fishing, the sea is now empty as boats have moved elsewhere. All that remains is the wreckage of a British trawler on the black sands, and several 'lifting stones'. These lifting stones would have been used to test the strength of potential fishermen and now you can try and see if you would have made the cut too!

  Lóndrangar View Point

  Wonderful rock formation, the rocks are 75 and 61 meters tall. Rising out of the artic ocean these two rock pinnacles of volcanic plugs of basalt are a truly stunning work of nature.

  Ytri Tunga Beach

  Unlike the other beach on this tour, Djúpalónssandur, this beach has the golden sand more familiar to visitors from overseas. Ytri Tunga is notable more for the seal colonies that can be seen lolling about the rocks just offshore.
