Join our wonderful day tour and see waterfalls, a black sand beach, and of course real flowing lava.
The Lava Show in Vík is a fun and educational exhibit showcasing real lava produced by superheating tephra, formed by real volcanic eruptions past. Feel the heat, as we explain the volcanic forces that have shaped Iceland.

Following the Lava Show, enjoy some free time exploring Vík´s. See the local church which overlooks the town and offers breathtaking panoramic vistas. See the black sand beach and the nearby Reynisdrangar sea stacks just off shore.

We see Skógafoss first from distance but as we approach we are met with its powerful roar, while water spray lingers in the air all around. See the falls from ground level or take up the challenge to climb the immense stairway all the way to the top.

Last but not least is Seljalandsfoss, perhaps Iceland´s most beloved waterfalls. Gentle when compared to Skógafoss, try the walking path behind the falls and see it from a new perspective.

Our first stop of the day is the acclaimed Lava Show exhibition in Vík. The Lava Show uses basaltic tephra or black sand that was formed by real historic volcanic eruption on Iceland´s south coast. Super-heating this tephra in a purpose-built furnace returns it to its molten lava state. See real flowing lava in a safe and fun show where our passionate experts will deplain and demonstate the behaviour of lava.
