Meeting and pickup
Please arrive between 7:00 to 7:15 am for check in. The exact meeting location and directions will be provided once your reservation is confirmed. We do not have departures on the 31st of each month due to Whale Shark Conservation Day.

1Punta Sam
Meet your crew at Marina Punta Sam and check in by 7:15 AM. Once on board, enjoy a box lunch before setting off at 7:50 AM sharp in search of the world's largest fish. The excursion takes you into the waters of the Mexican Caribbean, where your experienced guide will search for whale sharks in their natural habitat. As these magnificent animals are completely wild sightings cannot be guaranteed. The activity operates under official wildlife protection guidelines. When fewer than 5 whale sharks are present, the experience consists of whale shark sightseeing from the boat. If 5 or more whale sharks are located and conditions allow, guests will enter the water 2 at a time with a certified guide. After each swim, participants return to the boat so the next pair can enjoy the experience. Guests may have the opportunity to swim up to 3 times. Whale sharks typically swim at around 5 km/h (3 mph), making this activity suitable only for guests who are confident swimming in open water.
