This lovely street is a favorite local spot where people come to enjoy temporary art exhibitions and a comfortable atmosphere filled with a fresh coastal breeze. Beyond its charm, the area hides the most important sacred rock for living native communities. This site remains an active spiritual center where offerings and "payments" to deities like Mother Earth are still performed today.
This convent is considered the oldest in South America and was once home to the tallest tower on the continent during the 17th century. To this day, it remains an active convent, featuring an impressive facade and a magnificent, gilded main altar. We will enjoy a panoramic view of this historic landmark from our vehicle as we begin the journey back to your accommodation. If the church doors happen to be open, we may be able to step inside for a quick look at its stunning interior; otherwise, we will appreciate its grand architecture from the outside.
The Plaza de Armas is another highlight of the visit. Its architecture reflects strong Spanish influence, dating back to the colonial period. The square is surrounded by some of the earliest palaces, mansions, and historic residences built in South America, as well as a beautiful central garden. Before arriving here, we will stroll along Ancash Street to visit the ‘Happy Inka Market,’ where you’ll admire local artwork, traditional indigenous carvings, and colorful textiles. This is also a great opportunity to purchase a meaningful souvenir from your time in Lima.
To wrap up your evening, we will head to the "Magic Water Circuit." Recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest fountain complex in a public park, this is one of Lima’s premier nighttime attractions and a true favorite among locals. The park features 13 unique fountains, many of which are interactive, inviting you to engage with the water. As night falls, the atmosphere becomes truly magical; the fountains are brilliantly illuminated and come alive during a spectacular laser light show perfectly synchronized to a mix of classical and Peruvian music.
