You can also choose to take the train to Ella. In that case, I will drop you at Nanu Oya station and pick you up from Ella.

Drive from Ella to Galle, with stops along the way:

Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery – learn about sea turtle conservation and, if lucky, witness hatchlings being released.
Madu River Boat Safari (optional) – explore mangroves and wildlife along the river.
You will be dropped off at Galle to continue your journey.

It is believed to be one of the places associated with the Ramayana legend, where Lord Hanuman searched for Sita Devi. Situated on a scenic hilltop, the temple offers panoramic views of tea plantations and valleys.
Nine Arches Bridge, also known as the Bridge in the Sky, is a famous viaduct located near Ella in Sri Lanka’s hill country. Built during the British colonial period, it is an impressive stone and brick railway bridge with nine elegant arches, blending seamlessly into the surrounding lush greenery and tea plantations. The bridge is a popular spot for photography and sightseeing, especially when a train passes over, offering a truly scenic experience.
Little Adam’s Peak is a popular hiking destination near Ella in Sri Lanka. It is a moderate and relatively easy trek, taking about 45–60 minutes to reach the summit. The peak offers panoramic views of the surrounding tea plantations, valleys, and waterfalls, making it a favorite spot for sunrise and sunset photography. Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery – Kumbalwela (near Ella) is a serene Buddhist temple and meditation center located on a hill in Kumbalwela, close to Ella in Sri Lanka’s Uva Province. It’s part of the Mahamevnawa monastery network, a group of Theravāda Buddhist temples founded to share the original teachings of the Buddha.
