    Mehrangarh Fort

    Today you will be taken to Meherangarh fort, one of the largest forts in not only Rajasthan but in India as well, situated on a low sandstone hill, at an altitude of 120 meters. The fort with menacing thick walls contains many palaces with expansive courtyards and intricate carvings. MotiMahal - the Pearl Palace, is one of the beautiful palaces situated in the fort and was built by Raja Sur Singh. Later you will be taken to PhoolMahal - the Palace of Flowers, built by Maharaja Abhaya Singh, and believed to be an exclusive and private chamber of pleasure.

    Jaswant Thada

    Jaswant Thada, built in 1889 by Sardar Singh in remembrance of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The entire structure is constructed out of thin and polished sheets of Marble which makes it ever so beautiful when sunlight falls over it.

    Junagarh Fort (Bikaner Fort)

    You will lead this incredible 16th century, the rectangular Junagadh fortress, built by Raja Jai Singh, a general in the Mughal emperor Akbar's army. It is one of the few oldest fortresses in Rajasthan built on the ground floor. The Fortress with its immense beauty is a good example of architecture and ancient designs and is a perfect combination of Rajput and Mughal style of architecture. Maharaja Dungar Singh, in the 18th century, added a touch of Western-style architecture and made this fortress more remarkable and beautiful. With thirty-seven pavilions, thick wall, thirty-foot wide pit, large number of balconies, as well as design windows, the fort has seven doors and one of them Suraj pol is named as the sunrays that fall directly on the door. Chand pol is a double door that has the winning architecture of the heart, as well as the design. A beautiful door leads to the Joramal temple, an ancient temple with impressive surroundings and interiors. Visit the HarMandir, a royal temple dedicated to the goddess Lakshmi and the god Vishnu, which was used by kings and princes to celebrate special occasions such as marriage ceremonies and festivals.

    Jaisalmer District

    Jaisalmer "The Golden city", is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, located 575 kilometres (357 mi) west of the state capital Jaipur. The town stands on a ridge of yellowish sandstone, and is crowned by the ancient Jaisalmer Fort. This fort contains a royal palace and several ornate Jain temples. Many of the houses and temples of both the fort, and of the town below, are built of finely sculptured sandstone. The town lies in the heart of the Thar Desert (the Great Indian Desert) and has a population, including the residents of the fort, of about 78,000. It is the administrative headquarters of Jaisalmer District. Jaisalmer was once the capital of Jaisalmer State.

    Literally meaning big garden, features a series of royal cenotaphs or chhatris of Jaisalmer Maharajas, including that of Jai Singh II (Maharaja Sawai Jai Sing). The first cenotaph in the region was built for Jai Singh II by his son, Lunkaran, in the 16th century. Jai Singh II was known for his contribution to making the city green. And to honor him, his son set up a memorial in the form of cenotaph near the dam and created a big park around it.

    Khuri Sand Dunes which are about 40 kms (1hr) from Jaisalmer. Arrive and check-in at Desert Camp Khuri. Here you will see the sand dunes and have a feel of the desert. The Dunes are in the Thar Desert and an extension of the Sahara desert belt which continues to Gobi Desert in China. Enjoy a short camel safari organised by the Desert camp. The sunset in the horizon is a sight worth visiting. Enjoy the folk dances and buffet dinner.
