At 3:00 pm, you will meet with your own Egyptologist to visit the renowned Karnak Temple, which is the largest place of worship ever constructed. Its ancient name, Ipet-isut, translates to "the most sacred of places." This temple complex was built over the course of more than two thousand years by successive generations of pharaohs. Inside the complex, the magnificent "Hypostyle Hall" features an incredible forest of giant pillars.
Afterwards, you'll get to explore the magnificent Luxor temple, originally constructed by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and celebrations, and devoted to the god Amun. You'll also have some leisure time to shop in Luxor before heading back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Enjoy your breakfast and then proceed to check out of your hotel in order to embark on your tour to the west bank of Luxor at 8:00 am. These tombs were intricately carved into the desert rock, lavishly adorned, and filled with treasures to ensure a prosperous afterlife for the pharaohs. During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to explore three of these incredible tombs.
Next, your tour will take you to the impressive Hatshepsut temple at El Deir El Bahari. This temple, which is dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh, is a remarkable sight that rises up from the desert plain in a series of terraces, and blends seamlessly with the sheer limestone cliffs that encircle it.
Afterward, once the tour is complete, you will be transferred to your hotel in Marsa Alam.
