Your Egyptologist guide will pick you up from your designated starting point to accompany you on a day tour to the East Bank of Luxor. You will visit the magical Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history, which was dedicated to the God Amon and his wife Mut.
After visiting Karnak Temples, you will continue on to Luxor Temple, which was built by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom and completed by Ramesses II in the 19th Dynasty. King Ramses II, the most famous king of that time, ruled Egypt for about 67 years. Luxor Temple was dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, together representing the Theban triad. You will also get to visit the Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon. Finally, you will return to your starting point in Luxor.
Your tour guide will meet you at your starting point to begin your exploration of the West Bank of Luxor. Your first stop will be the famous Valley of the Kings, where numerous kings were buried in ancient times. Among the most well-known tombs in the valley are those of King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tutankhamun, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah, and Amonhotep II.
Afterward, continue your journey to the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also known as Deir el-Bahari. Queen Hatshepsut, meaning "Foremost of Noble Ladies," is believed to have initiated the first trading expeditions.
Let's head over to the Colossi of Memnon! These magnificent statues are a pair of enormous twins constructed from quartzite sandstone. They were originally positioned as guards at the entrance of the Amenhotep Memorial Temple.
