1Volcan de Lodo El Totumo
Skip the crowds, this volcano is yours. While tour buses arrive mid morning with 30 + strangers in line, you'll enter the mud volcano with no lines, or crowds, no pushing, no rushing. We pick you up early, before the buses leave Cartagena, so you often have the volcano nearly to yourselves. Your dedicated bilingual private guide stays with you the whole time, focused only on your group, not managing a busload of strangers. Float in the volcano's dense, mineral rich mud, known for its skin softening, stress relieving properties. Local attendants help you exclusively, safely and offer an optional relaxing massage. Afterward, rinse off in the nearby lagoon, where local women traditionally help wash away the mud, then enjoy a Colombian traditional food tasting before heading back. Tipping the local community who maintains this site is customary; your guide will help coordinate this for you.
