85km from Kampala is the beautiful country side city called Jinja and it’s time you join us as we unveil the untold story behind the diversity of cultural and historical landmarks in jinja ranging from Mahatma Gandhi the Indian anti-colonial nationalist, John Hanning Speke an English explorer and Mayur Madhvani the popular Indian entrepreneur in Uganda. Jinja being the Uganda’s industrial city baptized far back in the 20th century, this influenced it’s growth and attracted so many foreigners including the Arabs, British and Indians who actually left so many historical and heritage landmarks.
We therefore introduce to you this amazing package where you will be led by an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide going to different sites explaining stories about the history, culture and heritage of Jinja and Uganda at large!

    Jinja Farmers Market

    You will then be led to the jinja central market to explore a variety of different goods like the local food, fruits, vegetables, spices, metallics, among others. Here you will be able to interact with several vendors, taking pictures and free to purchase some fresh produce

    You will be able to access the museum and take on a guide tour to understand the history of the Uganda railway which has an attachment to the Indians and British. You be able to see the remains of the train and railway, take pictures and videos

    Jinja

    Jinja Port and Railway Station is another beautiful site or attraction with a rich history about how the British used to export Low-materials from the interior of East Africa to the Indian coast. You will be able to see and take pictures of the functioning ferries, train and the railway station

    Source Of River Nile Jinja

    And now your get down to the nature side of Jinja as you will be given a chance to take an optional boat ride on River Nile and lake Victoria to take pictures of the source of the Nile. Expect to experience a variety of bird species on the river side and lake showers so this would be a great experience for the birders

    A visit to Busoga cultural research center where the detailed history about the Busoga with some scripts have been published and assembled. Later your able to access Madhvani house the first flat in jinja. Then your taken to Jinja city hall the administrative building in Jinja. Therefore this stop is basically aimed at offering you the history and culture of the region and Uganda at large
