Itinerary

• El Calafate (Pass by)

  Guided departure in the morning (from 09:30 a.m.) from El Calafate along the old route 15, the “road of ranches”, which connects different histories of Patagonia: native peoples, pioneers and settlers.

  Los Glaciares National Park

  Once inside the Los Glaciares National Park, at the end of the road, you will reach the Nibepo Aike Ranch where all the stories converge.

  Lago Argentino

  A walk is made to the Los Pioneros pier, from where a navigation through the South Arm and the Rico Arm of Lake Argentino begins.

  Perito Moreno

  Once again on board, the navigation covers the southern face of the Perito Moreno glacier. Opportunity to observe the landslides and appreciate how its front approaches the Magallanes Peninsula, sometimes coming to mount on the rock generating a natural dam. You disembark in Bajo de las Sombras port, to reach the footbridges that are 6 km away by land. The tour begins from the highest point, with a wide view, and then descends towards the Canal de Los Témpanos. Throughout the tour you will be admiring the magnitude of the glacier from different angles. After spending more than an hour on the catwalks, you return by vehicle to El Calafate at sunset.

Additional info

• Suitable for all physical fitness levels
• If total or partial navigation is not possible, an alternative plan is made by accessing the Perito Moreno Glacier from the Nibepo Aike Ranch by land, and if possible, navigating in front of the Glacier. There is no refund.
• What to bring:  Sunscreen and sunglasses.  Sun hat or warm hat.  Trekking shoes or comfortable shoes.  Comfortable clothes to walk in a mountain environment.  Coat to withstand temperatures of 0°C  Buff or face and neck protector.  Waterproof jacket since they can touch light or intense rainy days.
• Lunch: roast lamb, variety of salads, dessert, soft drinks and wine. Vegetarian option (lentil and vegetable stew)
• Reference schedules: schedules may vary depending on the weather or group dynamics.  09:30 am: the tour of the hotels in El Calafate begins.  2:00 p.m.: start of navigation from Los Pioneros pier  4:00 p.m.: disembark at Bajo las Sombras.  7:00 p.m.: arrival in El Calafate (those who return by boat to Nibepo Aike arrive at Los Pioneros pier around 6:15 p.m.)
