It's time to Move on to visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world's oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser. The Step Pyramid was built in ancient Egypt, precisely during the Third Dynasty, as a tomb for Pharaoh Djoser. Djoser’s Step Pyramid at Saqqara is one of the most important archeological sites in all of Egypt. While it may not be as impressive or as famous as the Giza Pyramids, this structure predates them and it is vital to archeologist's understanding of the development of pyramid construction. Enjoy a visit to some noble Tombs as well before lunch. Lunch will be served at a good quality local restaurant, before moving on to enjoy an excursion to the ancient city of Memphis. After Lunch, enjoy an excursion to the ancient city of Memphis which was founded by King Menes, and was the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it was considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years the first capital of Egypt, and see the Statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx of Memphis. Later you will be transferred back to your hotel in Giza or Cairo. VISITS: Old Capital of Memphis, Mit Rahina Museum.
