This is a private tour with a 7-seater van for a maximum 6 guests.
The first references of wine and olive oil in Crete date back to 5.000BC during the Minoan civilization. 7.000 years later, Cretans produce wine, beer and olive oil on the same land, with the only changes the enhancement of production through technology and the optimization of crops.
In this tour we will visit a Winery and Olive Oil Factory. They have high standards of production, marrying the old traditions with modern technology. In each location we will spend around one hour tasting and touring the facilities. Tastings cost around 25 euro each and paid separately.
We will drive through the Cretan countryside, visit a 4000 year old olive tree and have lunch at a local restaurant. Optionally we could visit a brewery, Gonia Monastery or Maleme Airfield and its WW2 German Cemetery.
No tours on weekends or holidays. Locations can be visited 1st April to beginning of November, depending availability.
Pick up and drop off at Souda port, your accommodation or any other convenient location 10km or 6 miles around Chania old town or near the national road west of Chania up to Tavronitis/Maleme. Please contact us regarding your pick up place for further information.

Will visit Anoskeli for wine and olive oil tasting. Tastings are not included, its 25 euro per person each.
Optional Beer tasting. A flight of 6 beers is 6 euro per person, paid separately.
Visit a 13th century monastery and explore its history and Christian Orthodox traditions. 5 euro entrance per person.
Visit the German WW2 cemetery at Maleme and see the location of the first airborne only attack in history.
