What to expect
The tour begins with a visit to a women’s agricultural cooperative, where you’ll meet the local women behind the production of traditional Rhodian delicacies and learn how they preserve time-honored recipes.
After a relaxed walk through the village, you’ll visit a local winery to discover indigenous grape varieties and enjoy a tasting of Rhodes’ award-winning wines.
The highlight of the tour is a hands-on cooking lesson with a local cook. Learn how to prepare classic Greek & Rhodian dishes such as tzatziki, eggplant salad, dolmadakia, traditional cheese pies, & fresh Greek salad—using local ingredients and authentic techniques.
Your experience concludes with a delicious homemade lunch, where you’ll enjoy the dishes you’ve prepared together in a friendly, communal setting. Before leaving Apollona, you’ll also learn the secrets of making traditional Greek coffee during a visit to a historic village café.
