Your journey begins with an early morning pickup in Windhoek, followed by a transfer to the Windhoek Truck Port departure point, where the shared shuttle departs for the Namib Desert region. Travel south through Namibia’s scenic landscapes, passing mountain ranges, open savannah, and desert plains on the way to the Namib-Naukluft area. Arrival is in the afternoon at Namib Desert Lodge or similar accommodation, located just outside the Namib-Naukluft National Park. After check-in, relax and enjoy the stunning desert scenery surrounding the lodge.
Solitaire Stop: Stop at the small desert settlement of Solitaire, famous for its legendary apple pie at Moose McGregor Bakery and its collection of vintage cars, a favorite photography spot for travelers exploring the Namib Desert.
Dune 45 is one of the most famous and most photographed sand dunes in the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Named for its location 45 kilometers from the Sesriem gate, this impressive dune rises about 170 meters above the desert floor and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding red sand dunes. After breakfast, depart Swakopmund and travel back inland toward Windhoek. Enjoy scenic views of Namibia’s vast landscapes during the journey. Arrival in Windhoek is expected in the afternoon, where guests will be dropped off at the Windhoek Truck Port, followed by transfer to selected hotels.
