This is how you experience true Norwegian culture! After meeting your guide at our tour center in central Oslo, we take the scenic train ride up to Frognerseteren. Here you get a fantastic view of the city, the Oslo fjord, and its many islands!

From here, we hike through the forest to Tryvann (three lakes), home to the lakeside Tryvannstua cabin cafe. Along the way, you will surely pass Norwegians walking their dogs, out with their families, or enjoying a forest jog. At Tryvann there is a bathing jetty for those who want to swim in a refreshing lake in the forest, or you can sit down and enjoy the summer sun. While we are at Tryvannsstua we MUST stop by and buy fresh pastries and a coffee! Or maybe a waffle and hot chocolate are more tempting? This is not just a tourist spot - stopping at a cabin cafe while out hiking or skiing is what Norwegians do on their days off.

After the break we continue further down through Nordmarka, enjoying the peace of the forest and chirping of birds. Maybe we will meet a squirrel or other small animals, or if we are lucky maybe a deer or a moose! We end our trip at Woxen where we take the bus back to Oslo city center. Trips like this are an integral part of Norway’s outdoor culture - join the fun!
