An exclusive private loop hike led by a world-class IFMGA Certified Mountain Guide for ultimate safety. This tour combines a visit to the iconic Omalos Plateau and the dramatic entrance of the Samaria Gorge (Xyloskalo) for incredible photos, followed by a stunning, crowd-free loop hike. Starting from Agia Irini, we ascend the wild and hidden Fygou Gorge and return safely to our starting point via the historic Venetian path of Vasiliki Strata, enjoying authentic mountain hospitality along the way.

Meeting Point & Transport Options (Please read carefully):
The meeting point for this tour is ALWAYS your hotel or accommodation. I will come directly to your place to meet you. Depending on your transport preference, please choose one of the following options:
OPTION A (Full Service - €170 extra): If you do not have a vehicle, I will arrange and drive a private rental vehicle to pick you up from your hotel and provide full door-to-door transport. This is a flat fee of €170 (paid in cash on the day of the tour) and covers the vehicle rental, fuel, and insurance.
OPTION B (Your Rental Car - No extra fee): If you have your own rental car, we will meet at your hotel and I will join you in your vehicle for the day. At the end of the tour, we will return together to your hotel. In this case, there is no extra charge for transportation.

Important Footwear Advice
The terrain features loose rocks and steep sections. Standard sneakers or smooth-soled tennis shoes are highly discouraged as they lack proper grip. We strongly recommend sturdy hiking shoes or trail-running shoes with deep rubber soles for your safety and comfort. Unsure about your footwear? Message me after booking to check together!
Tour Itinerary
Hotel Pickup: We meet directly at your accommodation.
Coffee & Views (30m): Relax and stop at Omalos plateau.
The Hike (3-4h): Walk through lush areas, wild Fygou Gorge, and descend the historic Venetian path.
Cretan Lunch: Traditional meal and hospitality at Omalos.
Return: Transfer back to your hotel.
