Why We Recommend Huaca Pucllana & Barranco Instead of Pachacamac
When visiting Lima, time is very valuable. For travelers with limited time, we highly recommend visiting Huaca Pucllana and the district of Barranco instead of going to Pachacamac — and here’s why:
1. Location & Travel Time
2.Huaca Pucllana + Barranco are located within Lima city.
3.The experience is more efficient and comfortable.
4.Pachacamac is located about 1 to 1.5 hours outside Lima (each way), depending on traffic.
5.This means 2–3 hours in the car.
6.For visitors with only one day in Lima, avoiding long drives makes a big difference.
