Wildlife sightings in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park have decreased over the past two decades. While game drives in Livingstone may offer fewer wildlife encounters compared to Chobe National Park, a day trip to Chobe is highly recommended for exceptional wildlife viewing. Livingstone Game Drive and Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning “The Smoke That Thunders,” is a UNESCO World Heritage site covering 66 km². The park includes an old cemetery where early European settlers, who initially blamed "fever trees" but later discovered malaria as the cause of their illness, were buried. This led to the relocation and establishment of the town of Livingstone.
