What to expect
Pigeon Island National Park is located just 3 km from Nilaveli Beach. The main activities here are snorkeling and diving. You can explore vibrant coral reefs, spot eels, and observe small schools of various colorful fish, including beautifully patterned boxfish. Drift along as iridescent parrotfish and damselfish glide past you. Elegantly flowing lined sweetlips fish, along with butterflyfish and bannerfish, create a mesmerizing dance against the deep blue backdrop of the ocean. With a bit of luck, you might even encounter turtles, different species of rays, or blacktip reef shark
