We start the tour in Medellín or Bogotá

We stayed 45 kilometers outside the city to pedal our first ride at 2,300 meters (8,202 feet) above sea level. This region is home to the second-largest flower fields in Colombia, which produces 20% of all the flowers that our country exports. And then, we will ride our way to Letras, exploring Colombia, because Letras is just an excuse to discover our country.

    Medellin

    Upon arrival, we pick you up at the José María Córdoba airport in Rionegro, which serves the city of Medellín. We assemble the bikes and have a welcome meal, where we enjoy our gastronomy. Colombian cuisine is very diverse and varies according to the different regions of Colombia. During dinner, in addition to celebrating the great adventure that is about to begin, we will have a tour exhibition where we present the details of the trip.

    Around Medellin

    We ride towards the well-known region of flowers, famous for the "silleteros". Our tour includes a well-known category 2 climb and a series of "steep slopes" to burn the legs. For whatever reason, this region has produced so many top-level riders. We finish the ride in a nice country hotel, where we bathe and have lunch. Then we will take the cable car to go to know Medellín, we leave the forest and enter to one of the most important communes, or "favelas" that have been one of the symbols of social transformation and development of Medellín.

    Into the Gungle - Way to Lyrics

    We start at 2,600 meters above sea level and then go down to 500 meters, passing through all climatic zones and vegetation. We arrive at a natural reserve that captivates us with its energy and greatness. We enjoyed the deep green river and celebrated with a beer. We have lunch, rest in the afternoon, and spend the night in a beautiful cabin in the middle of the jungle.

    Way to Lyrics - heritage town

    We transfer by car to avoid traffic. We start the ride towards a beautiful heritage town that takes its name from the Ondaimas, the indigenous people that inhabited the banks of the Magdalena River. Honda is known as the "City of Peace" as it escaped most of the violence of the 1950s. We finish the ride in the town square, where we enjoy a variety of fresh juices.

    The big challenge! we are going to ride the longest climb in the world. Don't worry about water, granola, banana, and supplies, our support vehicle, guides, and staff are ready to help. The effort, sweat and suffer, will be rewarding for the amazing landscapes, little towns alongside the road, smells, vegetation, and more. Then, recover in amazing natural spring water, and celebrate that you did it.

    Pereira

    Pereira is one of the three cities that make up the Colombian Coffee Triangle. Like the neighboring cities of Armenia and Manizales, Pereira is surrounded by impressive and varied landscapes. Colombia's average annual coffee production of 11.5 million bags is the third highest in the world, after Brazil and Vietnam. In 2011, UNESCO declared the "Coffee Cultural Landscape" of Colombia, a World Heritage Site. We start from a good coffee shop to avoid city traffic. A ride between coffee plantations, challenging but with one of the best coffee landscapes in the world. We finish and cool off in the pool of a typical roadside lodge in the area, then we have lunch and transfer by car to the hotel in Pereira.

    A traditional town, full of colors and culture. This picturesque town is also known as El Cerro Iluminado de Los Andes, with a variety of good places to drink coffee, world-class restaurants, and beautiful landscapes that you can travel by jeep, the typical transport of the coffee region of Colombia. We set off by bike from the hotel and ride to the first hotel in Colombia designed for cyclists. We will enjoy like kings in a place that you will never forget, where we will have the pleasure of spending two nights.

    Salento

    Located in the middle of beautiful green mountains 24 km northeast of Armenia, this small town moves its economy through the production of coffee, the cultivation of trout, and more and more tourists who are attracted by its picturesque streets, the typical paisa architecture, and its proximity to the spectacular Valle de Cocora where we finished the ride. A ride to Salento where we finish this great tour, we bath in a typical townhouse to comfortably enjoy a good lunch and its streets, full of crafts and good coffee shops. We transfer by car to the hotel.
