You will be welcomed by our professional guide and brief you about all trip before hitting the road for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park. This park is located about 300 kilometers north of Kampala, passing through the famous Luwero triangle and has a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary and then has lunch at Kabalega dinners. We later proceed on entering the park through Kichombanyobo gate and visit the magnificent falls where you will enjoy and marvel at the mighty Nile, being forced into a seven-meter crevice to thunder 45 meters below in a series of cascades that can be viewed at different points. Dinner and overnight
After an early morning breakfast, we drive down to the ferry and cross the Nile to the northern sector of the park and start our game drive towards the Delta area, in search for wildlife that includes; the Rothschild Giraffe, elephant, Jackson’s Hart beast, Lions, Warthogs, Kobs, Jackals, Oribis, Waterbucks, Patus monkeys and Leopards among others. Here also a variety of Savannah woodland birds can be seen. We go back to the lodge, relax around, have lunch and later in the afternoon, at 02:00 pm go for the boat cruise on the Nile, for game viewing at close quarters as they come to cool off on the shores of the mighty Nile. Here you get a chance of seeing many schools of Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffaloes, Elephants and a variety of water birds. We come back to the lodge after about 3 hours, for dinner and overnight
You will start your drive to western Uganda through the beautiful green scenery and the tea plantations. You will have a chance to interact with local people during the walk through the market after lunch. After lunch, you will have a one hour drive to Kibale forest where you will be able to spot some monkeys, birds, and Baboons on your way and during the stop-over. You will sleep at any of the suggested accommodations below according to your budget.
After breakfast, we slope down to the Park Offices for registration and briefing before we start the Trekking in one of East Africa’s oldest Forest with trees as high as 50 meters. The Trekking may take about three hours in search of Habituated Chimpanzees. The forest also harbors about five primate species that include the Black and White Colobus, Red Colobus, Red-tailed, Lhotse’s Monkeys and Grey-cheeked Mangabey. It is also home to a variety of bird species including the rare Green Breasted Pita. We come back to the Lodge, relax around, have lunch and later go for a nature walk in the Bigodi wetland which is also very rewarding. We come back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park driving through the Crater Lakes region and drive southwards along the foothills of Rwenzori Mountain Ranges, these constitute the western Rift Valley and form the boundary between Uganda and Congo. With en-route lunch at Kasese. We enter the Park with a mini-game drive arriving in the afternoon and check in to the service of the bush lodge, have a free afternoon, dinner and overnight
The day begins early with an early morning cup of coffee and then starts our game drive towards the Kasenyi plains in search for the wildlife that includes the Elephants, Waterbucks, Cobs, Buffaloes, Giant Forest Hogs, Bushbucks, Hyenas, Lions and Leopards among the mammal species and a variety of birdlife. This Park is said to have the highest concentration of bird species as compared to any Park in the world (about 612 birds) recorded in this Park. We come back to the Lodge for breakfast, relax around, have lunch and later in the afternoon go for the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel for yet another but different view of wildlife from close as they come to cool off in the Channel water. We come back to the Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight
After breakfast, we visit the Katwe salt lake on the edge of the Park to see how salt is locally extracted. Did you know that latex is used as one of the protective gadgets in the mining of salt? Come and experience this, it’s worth visiting. We later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park passing through the Ishasha sector where the famous tree-climbing Lions can be seen as we are arriving in Bwindi in the evening and check in to the service of Gorilla Resort for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, with your packed lunch go to the visitor’s center for registration and briefing before you begin the gorilla trekking. It may take about 2 – 8 hours and you should prepare to walk for a long distance, under steep and muddy conditions and sometimes with rain over the head before encountering any gorilla. The time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour due to conservation purposes. The ranger/ guides always brief you on how to behave while with those apes. Later return to the Resort, Dinner, and overnight.
After breakfast, drive back to Kampala including the stopover for en-route lunch and the equator if you happen to have missed it on the first day of your trip. Your guide drops you back at your accommodation in Kampala or at Entebbe for your flight.
