Pick-ups are only from hotels in the city of Puno, for hotels far from the center or located by the lake, you will have to approach the Puno Plaza de Armas as a meeting point
Pick up from the hotel and we will travel for 1 hour with 45 minutes to Llachón, where we will be welcomed by the owners of the house, and accommodated in the rooms, then our hosts will teach us the ancestral techniques used for the manufacture of their textiles, from wool extraction to the use of natural dyes. Next, we will dive into farming practices and fishing, where we will show you your techniques for farming and fishing in the lake. After a local lunch, free time to explore the beaches of the lake and climb to the viewpoint for spectacular views of Lake Titicaca and the islands of Taquile and Amantani. When you return home, you can accompany family members to graze livestock. After dinner we will be invited to dress in their traditional costumes to live a unique experience of their ancestral traditions. We will gather around a campfire to enjoy music and infusion of aromatic herbs.
After the traditional breakfast, we will head to the port of Llachón. We will embark on a motorboat to sail to Taquile Island, immerse ourselves in the local culture exploring its clothing, crafts and weaving techniques. On the island, we will enjoy lunch in a local house with stunning views of the lake. Then we will continue our journey to the Floating Islands of the Uros.
The inhabitants of one of the islands will receive us, here you will learn from their crafts, clothing and witness how these artificial islands are made with totora. At the end of the visit we will return to the city of Puno and drop you off at your hotel.
