Explore 2 UNESCO Sites, Delphi and Meteora. In this shared group tour you can combine a visit to one of the most important archeological sites and one of the most important religious sites in Greece.

Our trip from Athens starts on the highway, driving via the towns of Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, our first stop will be at the Archaeological Site of Delphi.

After our visit to Delphi we will depart for Kalambaka (overnight). This journey will take us through the traditional settlements and majestic towns of Central Greece.

A few minutes away from Kalambaka we will have the opportunity to admire the cliffs of Meteora. The complex of Meteora is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and panoramic view. Each cliff is host to one of the many Byzantine Monasteries which were built on top of the rock formations. We'll visit two of these Byzantine monasteries.

On our return, we will make a short visit at Thermopylae to take a glance at Leonida’s Monument.

    Day 1

    Athens - Delphi - Kalambaka (Meteora)

    We will start early in the morning our trip to Delphi. We will pass via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova. Arachova is a picturesque settlement and famous winter destination built on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. This part of the trip lasts 3 hours, making a stop of 20' in Levadia for rest.

    Our first stop will be at the Archaeological Site and the Oracle of Delphi. Delphi is famous as the ancient sanctuary that grew rich as Pythia the oracle sat on the tripod throne and gave her prophesies about important decisions to be made throughout the ancient classical world. The available time on the site will be approximately 1½ hour, including the visit of the site and free time.

    After our visit to Delphi we will depart for Kalambaka. The duration of this part is approximately 4 hours, including stops for rest. This journey will take us through the traditional settlements and majestic towns of Central Greece. Our final destination for the day is Kalambaka, where we will enjoy dinner and relax for the rest of the evening.

    Visit Two Meteora Monasteries - Return in Athens

    We will start early in the morning, around 08:30 a.m and we will spend we will spend 3 hours in the area (including trasportation, visits in the monasteries and free time). The complex of Meteora is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and panoramic view. Each cliff is host to one of the many Byzantine Monasteries which were built on top of the rock formations. We'll visit two of these Byzantine monasteries, the guardians of priceless historical and religious treasures through the centuries.

The road trip will take as back to Athens, early in the same evening, signalling the end of our adventurous excursion.
