In Xunaan Park you will visit Yun Chen Cenote, a natural cenote surrounded by jungle and managed by Mayan families from the community of Yalcoba. Before swimming, you will participate in a purification ceremony led by a local shaman, where nature is thanked according to Mayan tradition. Then you can descend to the cenote and enjoy its crystal clear turquoise waters, ideal for cooling off and relaxing. You’ll also have time to tour the area, discover local crafts and sample regional food prepared by Mayan cooks. It is an authentic, cultural and deeply connected experience with nature.
In Valladolid you will make a brief but charming stop in one of the most beautiful Magic Towns of Yucatan. You can walk a few minutes through its main square, surrounded by trees and local crafts, and admire the Church of San Servacio, a colonial gem in front of the central park. You will have time to take pictures, buy some typical souvenirs or just enjoy the calm and colorful atmosphere that characterizes this town. It is a perfect stop to appreciate the mix of history, colonial architecture and living culture before continuing on to the other experiences of the tour.
