Travel to the majestic landscapes of Amboseli where you can watch wildlife with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. One of the highlights of this Kenya safari holiday is the swamps in Amboseli creating a green oasis surrounded by the barren plains. You can watch hippos wallowing and vast herds of elephants congregating around these lush areas of the park. Keep a look out for large herds of buffalo which frequent this area as well. The game viewing is excellent with good sightings of lion and giraffe.

1Amboseli National Park
At 08:00, you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel and then begin your drive to Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is famous for its scenery, including the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro that dominates the landscape and looms over the open plains. You will have a short game drive upon arrival and then check-in at your camp or the lodge followed by having lunch and a short rest before proceeding on your afternoon game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp or lodge.

2Amboseli National Park
You will spend the full day in the park exploring the abundance of wildlife here. This wide expanse of savannah and swampland includes (the generally dry) Lake Amboseli and the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. But the crowds of elephants are Amboseli’s biggest draw. You will then head to observation hill for an amazing view of these incredible creatures. The early morning and late evening are the best time to see the elephants.

3Nairobi
After an early morning game drive, you will return to the camp for breakfast. You will then check out and drive to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch. If you have enough time, you can eat at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. You will then be dropped off at the airport or your hotel, which will conclude your safari.
