Explore Colca Canyon on a 2-day excursion. Behold wonderful Andean landscapes and wild animals such as llamas and alpacas, and you will see gigantic Andean condors in flight. Finish the excursion in Puno the next day.
On the descent, you will begin to see pre-Inca agricultural terraces and towering volcanoes in the distance. After lunch, walk to the hot springs, you can take a dip or just take in the breathtaking scenery.
The next day you will head to the Cruz del Condor Viewpoint, one of the best viewpoints over the canyon and home to the famous giant Andean condors. The road passes through picturesque villages and pre-Inca ruins.
After lunch in Chivay, you will begin your journey to Puno, 6 hours by bus with spectacular views along the way.

Meeting and pickup
If your hotel or Airbnb is away the meeting point would be in the gun square in front of the cathedral, the pick-up time would be 7:30 am.

We will start with the pick-up from your hotels in the city center to leave to the spectacular Colca Valley. We will skirt the slopes of the “Chachani volcano”; arriving at the national reserve of “Salinas and Aguada Blanca” where we can appreciate South American camelids such as vicuñas, llamas, alpacas. We made a stop in Patahuasi, to taste hot drinks such as, muña, chachacoma, (mate Inca,) to prevent altitude sickness

, then we will head towards “Tocrapampa” to appreciate natural wetlands, sighting of high Andean birds and migratory birds,

3Abra Patapampa
We will also make stops at the “Volcano Lookout” (Patapampa) at 4910 m.a.s.l. in view of the “volcanic mountain ranges”, consider it to be the highest point at the level of the Colca Valley.

We descend towards the village of Chivay, for lunch, there we will have buffet meal options (not included), a la carte or menu, where you can taste novoandino dishes

Afterwards we will head towards the Chacapi Hot Springs in Yanque, where we can enjoy the thermal medicinal pools with waters above 35oC, at this point we have a variety of options to have fun; we can walk on horseback, enjoy the trails of the Colca in Cuatrimotos or live the adrenaline when practicing Zipline (activities not included). After almost 2 hours we returned to the village of Chivay for the respective accommodation in their hotels.

For the night, for dinner (not included) is optional the visit to a tourist restaurant where you can see a representation of typical dances of the Colca and can share with the other visitors to the Canyon.

In the morning, after breakfast we will head towards the viewpoint of the Condor Cross. Passing through the town of Yanque, we will visit its church and square

8Mirador Cruz del Condor
continue through the magical valley passing through stunning landscapes and traditional villages, arriving at 8.10 am at the viewpoint of the Cross of the Condor where we will be expectant of the imposing flight of the condors, huge Andean birds in extinction that are the symbol of the Andean Mountains and of the Andean culture, the view from the viewpoint allows us to fully appreciate the dimension of the Colca canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world (4160 meters).

During the return journey stops are made at the viewpoints of Wayrapunku, Antahuilque and Choquetico for photographic hiking

We will visit the town of Maca that still preserves its colonial church “Santa Ana”, where you can taste the “Colca Sour”.

Afterwards we returned to the town of Chivay for lunch, and from there boarded the bus to the city of Puno at Chivay station. En route to Puno, we will be able to enjoy again the views offered by the high Andean region, we will make a short visit in the viewpoint of the “Cordillera Volcánica”, if you want to taste some drink or snack in “Patahuasi” you can do it and finally we will make our last stop in “Lagunillas”, sector of Puno so that you can observe and photograph birds and camelids of South America.

We will be arriving towards the city of Puno at approximately 19:30 pm. if you have accommodation in the city center, it is possible to leave them in your accommodation.
