Discover the most authentic side of Tuscany through a journey that weaves together landscape, history, and taste. The experience begins among the vineyards, in the heart of Chianti, leading to the small church of San Giorgio a Lapi, dating back to the 12th century, home to three remarkable frescoes by Nasini — a quiet place, suspended in time. The visit then continues in the cellar, where our work takes shape: from vinification to aging, each step reflects a choice, an idea, a story. The experience then opens onto the panoramic terrace overlooking the Crete Senesi, under the shade of an ancient white mulberry tree, with a guided tasting of our wines accompanied by a full Tuscan meal: starter, first course, main course with side dish, and dessert. A moment to be lived slowly, among scents, light, and silence.
Upon arrival, you will find a large wooden barrel with the San Giorgio a Lapi logo. Next to it, there is a parking area where you can leave your vehicle. By following the signs for wine tastings, you will find us there to welcome you. Please arrive by 10:45 am so we can start the tour on time.
The Church of San Giorgino is a small ecclesiastical building dating back to 1109, located on the estate. From its elevated position, it seems to watch over and protect the surrounding vineyards and olive groves spread across the gentle Tuscan hills. When our family arrived at San Giorgio a Lapi, the church had suffered significant structural damage. Our parents chose to fully restore it, and in doing so, uncovered a fresco by the Nasini — a family of painters from Monte Amiata — depicting Saint George slaying the dragon.
We will then move to the cellars to discover how our wine is made and aged, from the vinification process to maturation in barrels and bottle aging. At the end of the visit, you will enjoy a tasting of our wines paired with typical Tuscan products, guided by one of the owners of San Giorgio a Lapi.
On the panoramic terrace, between the Crete Senesi and the Chianti hills, you will have the opportunity to taste our most refined selections. Each glass is paired with a full Tuscan meal — starter, first course, main course with side dish, and dessert — designed to enhance the quality and character of each wine.
