You will be picked at your Nairobi hotel and head to Nairobi National Park. It’s home to wide variety of wildlife, which at time can be seen against a background of city skyscrapers and planes landing at Wilson Airport. The park is rhino sanctuary, protecting more than 50 black rhinos, making it home to world’s highest concentration of these species. Lions and hyenas are common sights. Cheetahs and leopards are more elusive, thus may need more patience and some luck. Buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches and gazelles are regularly seen wildlife here. More than 400 species of bird have been recorded in park’s wetlands. You will enjoy amazing game drive here for 4 hours.
The proceed on to David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, strictly from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. You will see a herd of baby elephants and learn about the work done to rescue them from poachers. The orphanage successfully raises milk-dependent baby elephant and rhino orphans. During your hour there, the baby elephants will be brought out to play and feed as you watch them from behind a rope.
Take a lunch break. Then proceed to Giraffe Center. Here you will get up close and personal with Rothschild giraffes; Africa's tallest mammals you will also feed them. Here you will ascend up to an observation platform where you can see giraffes at their eye level. Take your time as you want,
You will then be driven to the old colonial house of Danish author, Karen Blixen. Now a museum, this property and the surrounding Ngong Hills were made famous in the book and then the movie ‘Out of Africa’. It is a must see for all Danes and lovers of African history and romance. Return to your hotel around 5pm.
7AM: Pick up from your Nairobi Hotel /Airport and proceed to Amboseli National park. The morning drive is via typical African savanna country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Masai herdsmen grazing their cattle. Arrive at the Amboseli national park in time for lunch. Take a midday rest and later venture into the park for the scheduled afternoon game viewing drive. We shall be in search of elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, cheetah, warthog, ostrich and many others . The Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the skyline and surrounding country side It is the tallest in Africa and highest free-standing mountain in the world. Mount Kilimanjaro with its snow - capped peak shall dominate the background while we marvel at the wildlife and scenery. Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner and overnight
