Our driver guide will pick you at your hotel lobby within Nairobi
Your guide will pick you up from the airport early on arrival and drive to Samburu Game Reserve, where you’ll arrive in time for lunch. Afterward, you can opt for an afternoon game drive. Samburu Game Reserve is one of Kenya’s most beautiful parks, located in the Northern Circuit. It’s home to a wide variety of indigenous wildlife, including African elephants, zebras, and Masai giraffes. The reserve is famous for its desert-adapted species, such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and reticulated giraffe. The park is compact and scenic, nestled between barren mountains and the lush banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Samburu is not only a wildlife haven but also offers a fascinating cultural experience, as it is in the heart of Samburu country, where local communities continue their traditional way of life.
On this day, following the path of the Ewaso Nyiro River, we will search for a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, Beisa oryx, and smaller creatures like dik-diks, warthogs, and olive baboons. The entire day will be dedicated to exploring this unique game reserve. Over 450 bird species are found around the river, including vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches, and more. At lunchtime, your guide will prepare a delicious picnic in a safe, shady spot before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Note that if you prefer, your guide can adjust the schedule to include only morning and afternoon game drives
After an early morning assisted check-out, enjoy a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru. The park is renowned for its easy sightings of both black and white rhinos, as well as its lion populations, some of which are known for their unusual tree-climbing habits. You’ll also have the chance to spot the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, flamingos, leopards, and a variety of bird species. The park’s unique combination of lake, acacia forest, and dramatic escarpment makes for a stunning backdrop. Embark on a guided game drive with your expert guide, searching for rhinos, lions, and flamingos. Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve via Narok, the largest Maasai town. Proceed to the reserve and check in at Sarova Mara Hotels for lunch. At 4 pm, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive. Famous for its appearances in Big Cat Diary and Disney's African Cats, the Maasai Mara is a top destination on many safari wishlists. Known for the Great Migration—one of the world’s natural wonders—it offers a breathtaking, wildlife-rich savannah landscape. The reserve was once described by biologist Julian Huxley as "the only easily accessible and readily studied remaining portion of the world's pre-human climax community at its tropical richest." The region is also home to the Maasai people, who continue to herd cattle and goats in a traditional lifestyle that has remained largely unchanged for over 350 years. After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Main Destination: Masai Mara Natio
Enjoy an early breakfast before embarking on a full-day game drive in Masai Mara with a picnic lunch. For an added adventure, you can opt for an early morning balloon safari or visit a Maasai village to learn about their culture and way of life. After a day of exploration, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay. The Masai Mara is famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, known as the 8th Wonder of the World. The reserve is also home to the Big Five—lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo—along with other wildlife such as impalas, elands, and the iconic Maasai lion. Additional activities include visiting the Maasai village and witnessing the crocodile-infested river. After the day’s adventures, return to your lodge for a peaceful evening and overnight stay.
After breakfast and an early morning assisted check-out, enjoy a scenic drive back to Nairobi. During the drive, take in the beautiful landscapes as you head towards the city. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at a designated location, concluding your memorable safari adventure.
