Day 1
Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be picked up from your hotel between 7:00 – 7:30 AM and begin the journey to the Masai Mara in a 4x4 Land Cruiser Jeep. The drive takes approximately 5.5 to 6 hours, passing through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stop at the viewpoint for photos and refreshments. You'll arrive in the Masai Mara around midday and check in to your selected lodge or tented camp. After a hot lunch and some rest, you'll head out for your first afternoon game drive at around 3:30 PM. Expect to see elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, and maybe your first glimpse of the migration. Return to camp at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2
Masai Mara National Reserve Full Day

Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast (or packed breakfast), you'll embark on a full-day game drive across the vast savannah, focusing on areas near the Mara River, where dramatic wildebeest crossings happen. This is the best time of year to witness the Great Migration—thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles crossing the crocodile-filled river, often pursued by predators. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, then continue exploring different regions of the park, searching for the Big Five and other spectacular wildlife. Return to camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight. Optional activities include visiting a local Masai village to learn about traditional culture (additional cost).

Day 3

Masai Mara National Reserve
Begin the day with an early morning game drive from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM, a prime time to spot lions and other predators before they retreat from the heat. Return to the lodge for breakfast and enjoy a few hours of leisure—relax, swim, or take in the views. After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive to explore less-visited areas of the reserve or track specific wildlife sightings from earlier days. Alternatively, you may opt for an optional guided walking safari (available in some conservancies) or relax for the rest of the day. Return for your final dinner in the wild and overnight stay.

Masai Mara – Nairobi

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
After breakfast, you'll check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi, with a lunch stop along the way. Estimated arrival time in Nairobi is late afternoon or early evening. You'll be dropped off at your hotel or directly at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your onward flight.
