Samburu National Reserve is well known for the huge Jumbos (ELephants), The Special Five Wildlife species such as The Beisa Oryx, The Reticulated Giraffes, The Grevy Zebras, The Gerenuk or Giraffe Elephant, The Somali Ostrich.

    Samburu National Reserve

    You'll head to Wilson Airport in Nairobi early to catch your flight heading north. From there, the plane takes you over farmlands and along Mt. Kenya's slopes, giving you great views as you make your way to Samburu Game Reserve. Once you land, a transfer brings you to Elephant Bedroom Tented Camp where you'll get settled in. By evening, you'll have dinner at camp and spend your first night there

    Samburu National Reserve

    This morning starts early with a game drive where you'll search for the Special Five wildlife species including Gerenuk, Grevy Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, and Somali Ostrich, along with lions, leopards, and wild dogs. After returning to camp, you'll have breakfast and then spend the afternoon relaxing. Later in the day, another 3-hour game drive takes you back out into the reserve before you head to camp for dinner.

    You can either join an optional early morning game drive or sleep in and take breakfast at a slower pace, depending on what you prefer. After you check out from camp, a transfer takes you to the Samburu airstrip. From there, the scenic flight back to Nairobi's Wilson Airport gives you one last look at the landscape before you land
