    The safari to Masai Mara typically starts with an early morning departure from Nairobi by shared 4x4 safari vehicle or minibus for the 5–6 hour drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. After a scenic stop along the Great Rift Valley, you arrive at a budget tented camp near the reserve in time for lunch, then head out for your first afternoon game drive where you may spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.
