The safari begins with an early morning departure and a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, guests enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive across the expansive savannah, where lions, elephants, giraffes, and other plains game are commonly sighted, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in the reserve.
A full day is spent exploring the Masai Mara, starting with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. The day includes extensive drives across different sections of the reserve, with opportunities to spot the Big Five and observe predator–prey interactions, a picnic lunch in the bush, and a relaxed evening at the lodge or camp.
After breakfast, the journey continues to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive introduces the park’s highlights, including its famous flamingos, large populations of white and black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and diverse birdlife, all set within a compact and scenic landscape.
The safari proceeds to Aberdare National Park, ascending into the cool, forested highlands. After lunch, guests check into a tree or forest lodge overlooking a waterhole or salt lick, where wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes can be viewed from the lodge, offering a peaceful and unique safari experience.
The final day begins with breakfast amid the misty Aberdare scenery before descending from the highlands and driving back to Nairobi. The journey concludes with arrival in the afternoon, bringing an end to a diverse and memorable Kenyan circuit safari.
