Spend the entire day exploring the Mara’s vast savannahs with morning and afternoon game drives. Look out for the Big Five, cheetahs, and possibly river crossings if it's migration season. Optional hot-air balloon safari available.
Enjoy a second full day in the reserve with deeper game drives into less crowded areas. Visit the Mara River to spot hippos and crocodiles, and maybe meet Maasai locals in a cultural village visit.
After a morning drive, head to Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride among hippos and birds, followed by a walking safari on Crescent Island, home to giraffes, zebras, and antelope.
Travel north to Ol Pejeta, a private conservancy famed for its black rhino population and chimpanzee sanctuary. Afternoon game drive followed by optional night safari to see nocturnal species.
After breakfast, head to the lush highlands of Aberdare National Park or Mount Kenya. Stay at a forest lodge like The Ark or Serena Mountain Lodge, where animals come to drink at floodlit waterholes.
Drive further north to Samburu National Reserve, known for its unique wildlife like the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and gerenuk. Afternoon game drive in this drier, rugged landscape.
Depart Samburu and descend into the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Afternoon game drive to see flamingos, rhinos, waterbucks, and possibly elusive leopards in the acacia forest.
Early morning departure for Amboseli, arriving by afternoon. Take a scenic game drive under the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, famous for large elephant herds and stunning photo ops.
