    Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Arrive at Nairobi JKIA or be picked up from your hotel by our representatives and thereafter drive north to the Mount Kenya region, arriving at Sweetwaters Tented Camp for lunch. Located within the sprawling Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s most noteworthy conservancies and home to the "Big Five" (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, and leopard), Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers a holiday experience unlike any other. Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and home to two of the world’s last remaining Northern white rhinos. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees (included on the game drive) in a sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. It has some of the highest predator densities in Kenya, and still manages a very successful livestock programme. Enjoy the afternoon game drive including a visit to the Chimpanzee and Rhino Sanctuaries before returning to the camp for dinner and overnight

On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park, a beautiful wildlife haven. Visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya's most popular parks and is the “home of the African elephant”. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Maasai word meaning "salty dust", and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here, ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah, and woodlands. You can also visit the local Maasai community (optional) who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

After lunch, transfer to Salt Lick Lodge for room allocation and a siesta. The sanctuary straddles the Southern Tsavo West National Park and is an important dispersal area and migrating corridor for wildlife between Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park. This makes it a highly-valued tourism recreational area of ecological importance. The topography is generally mountainous and offers breathtaking landscape views of the Kilimanjaro, Pare, and Uluguru Mountains and the clusters of Taita Hills with a seasonal river. The 300-kilometre-long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, makes for an adventure unlike any other in Tsavo East. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust–red elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbuck, lesser kudu, and gerenuk.
